GODDARD, KAN. - Three safeties and a fumble return is all they wrote for the Andover Central Jaguars on Friday night.

Andover Central used 2-of-3 safeties and a fumble return for a touchdown from Trey DeGarmo to route the Goddard Eisenhower Tigers on Friday night.

A game like any other, Andover would get picked for the safety early in the first quarter, giving Goddard Ike the 2-0 lead. A short time later, Goddard Ike found themselves in the end zone, leveling the game at 2-2.

The rest of the quarter seemed to just go off in a bang. Shomari Parnell used the safety free kick to set up a touchdown for the Jaguars. He ran it in from 17 yards out, Blake Robison nailed the extra point and the Jaguars led 9-0. Then, DeGarmo picked up a fumble on the ensuing possession, scampered into the end zone, putting Andover Central up 15-2 to end the quarter.

The Jags forced another safety, making it 17-2 in the second quarter. Andover Central coach Derek Tuttle pulled out some tricks. Xavier Bell found Matt Macy for the touchdown pass, putting Andover Central up 24-2 at the half.

Parnell would find Macy in the third quarter; this time from 38 yards out.

Andover Central improves to 2-0 on the season. They'll host No. 2-ranked Goddard at Andover District Stadium on Friday night.
