EL DORADO—The Butler Grizzlies are itching to come out of summer hibernation and get theri 2019 Fall schedule underway.

Butler, fresh off a 39-19 record, and third place in the KJCCC regular season, the Grizzlies are looking to build some momentum off last year’s success and turn it into something for the spring.

Butler will play a minimum of 14 games, with four at home. Head coach BJ McVay and his Grizzlies will begin their fall schedule against national powerhouse, Cowley College.

They’ll play some non-collegiate schools, like the Wichita Grays and the Stars before getting back into the JUCO action.

Butler will host the same Grays for their home fall opener on Sept. 11 at 6:15 p.m. at McDonald Stadium. They’ll travel to Joplin, Missouri for a double header between Eastern Oklahoma State college and Mineral Area on Sept. 27.

Also, the Grizzlies will have a double header in Edmond, Oklahoma on Oct. 11. They’ll play Crowder college and Division II National Champions, the Northern Oklahoma-Enid Jets.

Butler rounds out their home fall slate with a game against McPherson College on Oct. 23. The game’s first pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m.
