The Andover boys 4x800m and Andover Centrai girls 4x400m relay teams were both put to the test on Saturday at the Kansas Relays. The Kansas Relays, at Rock Chalk Park in Lawrence, featured top high school athletes from eight different states. The Andover boys 4x800m rose to the occasion and recorded the fastest time in Kansas so far this season. The Trojans’ team of Ryan Kinnane, Asher Moen, Josh Jackson, and Sam McDaviitt finished fifth overall, but ran a 8:07.61 to secure Kansas’ top 4x800m time.

Asher Moen also competed in the 3200m, and knocked 22 seconds off of his season-best to place sixth with a time of 9:33.39. Sam McDavitt placed 7th in the 800m with a season-best time of 1:57.51.

Lidia Dilollo placed 13th out of 42 athletes in the 100m Hurdles. Dilollo finished fifth among Kansas runners with a time of 15.35.

Andover Central’s 4x400m team of Hannah Wiebe, Kinsley Ochsner, Peyton Vincze and Brittany Harshaw finished 7th out of 57 teams with a time of 4:10.91. The Jaguars finished second out of the Kansas teams, behind Lawrence (4:09.25).
