After a while, Douglass and Fredonia’s football game sounded more like a basketball game.

The Bulldogs led 22-14 after the opening quarter, but Fredonia scored 22 in the second to cut its deficit to four at halftime. Fredonia ran away with the game in the second half to top the Bulldogs by a mind-boggling 74-58 score.

Hunter Chadic kicked off the scoring with a 56-yard bomb to Dashon Arnold. He later hit Kolby Caster on a 21-yard strike for a 14-0 lead.

Chadic later had TD passes of 22 yards to Devon Anderson and 62 yards to Arnold. Chadic finished with a whopping 437 passing yards on just 26 completions with six touchdowns.

In the second half, though, Fredonia seized momentum with the running game as Isaac McPherson broke loose. He finished with 421 rushing yards by himself and had touchdown runs of 34, 60, 64, 54, 53 and seven yards.

Zac Dressler led Douglass with 89 rushing yards on 16 carries.

Caster finished with team highs of 12 receptions and 189 receiving yards for the Bulldogs. Arnold finished with 142 receiving yards on five catches. Anderson added 101 yards on eight grabs.
