I was raised on the Golden Rule (Matthew 7:12); Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:2-17); and 12 Points of the Boy Scout Law: which taught me to always aspire to be trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent.

I don't know if I'm "woke." Can't say that I "get it." But for many years these principles have served me well and are applied without regard to another's race, creed and — especially — color.

Here's to better days. Past and future.
