Gordon R. Cannady, 84, of Augusta, KS, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021 at home surrounded by family. Rosary 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2021 and funeral mass 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2021, all at St. James Catholic Church, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Augusta. 

Gordon was born in Aurora, Missouri on August 18, 1936, to the late Marie (Smith) and Cecil Cannady. 

He worked as an auto claims adjuster for State Farm Insurance for 43 years. Gordon enjoyed coaching softball, wood carving and auto restoration. He was a member of Ignite Augusta and a 3rd degree Knights of Columbus. 

On January 31, 1959 he married Rosanne (Artwein) Cannady in Springfield, MO and she survives him. He is also survived by: daughter, Teri Rinkenbaugh and husband Bill El Dorado; son, Michael Cannady and wife Kim; daughter, Cathy Jergensen and husband Jeff; son, Chris Cannady and wife Julie all of Augusta; daughter, Amy Wilbur and husband Mike of Tampa, FL; 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Memorial donations to St. James Catholic Church 1012 Belmont Avenue Augusta, Kansas 67010.
