Surrounded by his family Charles Russell Hudson Sr. went to be with his Lord and his Heavenly family at 4:20 pm on December 26th. 2020. Charles was born to Goldie Marie Stokes and Charles James Hudson on December 31, 1930 at El Dorado, Kansas. He married LoraGail Frieda Sapp September 1, 1950 in Wichita, Kansas. He graduated from El Dorado High School and became a life long learner.
He was well respected. He worked in the El Dorado Oil fields, the El Dorado Dairy, Naval Reserves, became a Beech Aircraft foreman, home builder, oil well pumper, horse trainer, Pastor of Community of Christ church, Coast Guard official, campground caretaker, Fairland, Oklahoma community advocate. Charles was positioned in place of leadership and authority where ever he was.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife LoraGail Sapp, his daughters Jenise Hudson Lopez and Phoebe Hudson Kissel, son in law Lonnie Jesser, daughter in law Sue Hudson, granddaughter Renata Wehry (Terry), and grandson Ted Kissel, brother Ralph Hudson, both parents and many more family members.
Survivors include his loving daughters Wanetta JoAnn Baldwin(Bill) and Charlene Gail Jesser and his Beloved son Charles Russell Hudson Jr., his loving sisters Brenda Gamble(Don), and Barbara Scott (Ron), many grandchildren and many great grand children, plus hundreds of heartstrings belonging to additional family members.
Charles passed five days prior to his 90th birthday. In his honor he lived 90 years. Due to Covid 19 we will not be able to have a memorial service or a funeral service. He will have a graveside service on Saturday, January 16, 2020 at the Andover Cemetery, at 2:00 pm. We will not gather for a meal. On behalf of our father, we, his son and daughters extend our sincere thanks and understanding to those who are with us in spirit.
