Raymond Glen Griggs passed away on Tuesday, November 24th, 2020 at the age of 63. He was born on November 10th, 1957 in El Dorado, KS and married his wife of 31 years, Debbie McGregor Thompson, on February 25th, 1989. Raymond was a hard worker and spent many years as a rancher in Leon, KS before moving to Beaver Lake in Rogers, AR. He became a certified Water Distribution Operator at the Madison County Regional Water District Treatment Plant where he worked for the last 11 years. Raymond was a true cowboy at heart and loved to hunt and fish in the Flint Hills. Later, he enjoyed striper fishing on Beaver Lake and passed on his love of fishing to many of his grandkids. He also enjoyed spending time with family on the lake, cooking on his Traeger grill (quickly becoming a Legend for his smoked cheese), watching K-State sports and lending a helping hand to neighbors and friends in need.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife Debbie; Daughters: Jessica (Matt) Reese of Jenks, OK and Sallie (Rodney) Sooter of Tulsa, OK; Step-Daughters: Stephenie (Curtis) Thompson-Rush of Prescott, AZ and Nicole (Brett) Kilgore of Spring Hill, KS; Ten grandchildren who meant the world to him and always put a smile on his face; Sisters: Connie Pace of Andover, KS, Jan (Phil) Willis of Leon, KS and Kathy Speer of Park City, KS. He also leaves behind many dear friends he considered family. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond E. Griggs and Mary A. Glenn.
