El Dorado - Shirley Adele Shaver, 66, of El Dorado, KS passed away Friday, November 12, 2021, at the Via Christi St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita. Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2021, at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation will follow the service. Friends may greet the family 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Shirley was born February 14, 1955, to Albert B. and Bonnie L. (Guilinger) Endicott in Arkansas City. She grew up and attended schools in Arkansas City, graduating from Ark City High School in 1973.

On February 23, 1973, she married Kent Cook. The couple had two children, Carla and Alex. They later divorced. Shirley later married William Shaver on August 23, 1997, in Augusta where the couple made their home.

Shirley worked as the video manager for Dillons Grocery Store until her retirement. She also worked for Movie Gallery and the Library in Augusta. She was a member of the XI Gamma Chi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She enjoyed collecting Daffy Duck figurines, and watching the Chicago Cubs. Most of all she cherished babysitting her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter Carla Gardner and husband Josh of Lawrence, KS; son Alex Cook and wife Angelena of Augusta; siblings Edward Endicott and wife Ann of Collierville, TN; Jeanne Waldorf, Arlen Endicott, Grant Endicott and wife LaDonna all of Arkansas City; grandchildren Tucker Cook, Rorie Sturgeon, Britton Wescott, Ashton and Allie Cook, Norah Gardner, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William, an infant son Chad Daniel Cook, and a niece Cari Griggs.

A memorial has been established for Alzheimer's and Similar Diseases. Contributions may be made through the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home and Crematory. Online condolences may be made at www.rindt-erdman.com.
