Augusta – Ralph Hunter, 79, passed into the loving arms of his Savior on Friday, October 2, 2020.

Ralph was born on Saturday, March 22, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio to Allen and Bertha (Rohrer) Hunter. Ralph graduated with a B.S. in Biology form Mt. Union College in 1963. Ralph then went to serve his country as a 1st Lt. in the U.S. Army Artillery for a tour of duty during the Vietnam War. Ralph was united in marriage to Janet (Sapp) on October 6, 1968, in Coffeyville, Kansas. They would have celebrated 52 years of marriage on Tuesday October 6th, 2020. After Ralph’s military service he went to work as an engineer for Aeroquip Corp in Youngstown, Ohio from 1968-1971. Going on later to receive his diploma in nursing from St. Francis School of Nursing in 1974. He worked as a RN for many years and served as a missionary nurse in Pakistan for over 20 years. Ralph, in retirement, loved most to be with his only daughter Sarah and her children. He was a dedicated father and grandfather and loved all his children unconditionally.

Ralph is survived by his wife Janet of Augusta; children Jeffrey Hunter of Augusta, David and wife Lindsey Hunter of Bartlesville, OK, Sarah Hunter of Augusta; sister Rita and husband Chris Kilpatrick of Alliance, OH; grandchildren Rain, Storm, Sky, River, Rowan, Elijah, Silas, Juliana and Irene; and his nephew Ian Kilpatrick.

Ralph is preceded in death by his parents.

Family will hold a Memorial Service on Friday, October 16th at 11:00 a.m. at GraceFirst Church, 14725 E. Harry Street in Wichita.
