Clarence L. (Clancy) Walz passed away at his home in Augusta on April 18, 2020. He was born in Wichita, KS on October 14, 1939 to Raymond Walz and Winifred Easley. Clancy graduated from West High School in 1955 then attended Friends University, both in Wichita. Annette Tozier joined him in marriage in 1979.
Clancy spent most of his career working in sales, eventually retiring from Augusta Tire in 2008. He was a member of the American Iris Society and, not surprisingly, relished the time he spent planting and raising irises as well as daylilies. Clancy also enjoyed photography and fishing. He was a man of faith in Jesus and one who treasured time with friends and family. Clancy never passed up an opportunity to enjoy a good dessert!
Clancy is survived by his wife, Annette, of Augusta, KS; two sons, Michael and Ashley, of Wichita; David and Danielle, of Vancouver, WA; a daughter, Debbie Walz McMullen Bohm and Clayton, of Garden City, Missouri; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jim Walz and Richard Vanatta; and a sister, Betty Wolfe.
Cremation has taken place. A private celebration of life will be held for family.
