MarJean Shaffer, 90, passed away on March 6, 2019

 MarJean Shaffer, 90, passed away on March 6, 2019 in El Dorado.
MarJean’s life began on Aug. 18, 1928 the daughter of Roy and Lola (Moler) Crissup. She was united in marriage to Max Shaffer and was later married to Paul Whiteside. MarJean was a homemaker and also drove school busses for Bluestem Schools for over 30 years. She enjoyed gardening and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.
MarJean’s loving family includes: her children, Connie (Steve) Darnell of El Dorado, Kathy (Jack) Newcom of Leon, Jerry (Connie) Shaffer of Leon; grandchildren, Angie (Brad) Clevenger of Benton, Brandie (Chad) Leep of Benton, Dustin Worrell of Leon, Nathan (Courtney) Worrell of Leon, Derek (Candace) Shaffer of Augusta, Jason (Heather) Holmes of Augusta, Amy Holmes of Augusta; 11 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; sister, Barbra Butts of El Dorado; brother, Larry Crissup of Tennessee.
She is preceded in death by her husband Max; her parents; siblings, Melbert Crissup, Ewondia Woods, Georgia Myers, Jack Crissup and Marie Hull.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at the Leon Cemetery.
