Wilma J. Requena, 80, passed away on March 3, 2019
Wilma J. Requena, 80, of El Dorado, passed away at her home on Sunday March 3, 2019.
Wilma’s family will gather with friends from 5-7 p.m., followed by Rosary at 7 p.m., all on Thursday at Carlson Colonial Funeral Home, El Dorado. Mass of Christian Burial led by Father John Lanzrath will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Friday, at St. John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church, El Dorado. Burial will be in Sunset Lawns Cemetery, El Dorado.
Wilma was born on Feb. 23, 1939 in Madison, Kan., the daughter of Harry and Vivian (Waite) Tabor. Wilma was united in marriage to Theodore “Teddy” Requena on April 6, 1962 in El Dorado. She was a caregiver and homemaker to her family. Wilma was a great cook and had a deep abiding love for her entire family. She enjoyed crocheting and was a parishioner of St. John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Her loving family includes: her children, Alesia (Brian) Countryman of Emporia, Alfonso (Jennifer) Requena of Nowata, Okla.. Theodore (Janelle) Requena of Towanda, Santana (Shannon) Requena of El Dorado, Julian Requena of El Dorado, and Gregorio Requena of El Dorado; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Teddy; sons, Ricky Requena and Ricky Vanesse; and her parents.
