Billy Ray Graves, 83, a man of strong Christian values, passed away Nov. 25, 2018.
Visitation with family will be from 10 a.m. to service time at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, at Heritage Funeral Home in El Dorado.
He was born on Dec. 4, 1934, in Seminole, Okla., and lived his entire childhood in Seminole.
On April 26, 1952 he married Deloris L. Hyatt. In 1963 the couple moved to El Dorado, where he worked for the Gas Service Company for 32 years.
In his retirement he spent his time mowing the five acres he lived on, something he enjoyed doing. He also spent a lot of time with his good friend Gerald Younker at his auto body shop, drinking coffee and chatting with the guys. He was a huge animal lover and was eager to help or feed any animal that showed up on his property, including squirrels, raccoons, and birds.
He is survived by: his wife Deloris; son, Jared (Audra); daughters, Vicki Graves, Angela Sullivan, Marquita (Troy) Pennington; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brothers, David Graves, Robert Graves; sisters, Bonnie Carter, Bernadine Minter, Ruth Carpenter, Lequita Sheppard, and Sherry Minter.
He was preceded in death by his parents Cagle Arrow and Vernie Irene Graves, and a brother, Jimmy Graves.
