Will Carpenter (R- El Dorado) Representative for State House District 75 – Northern Butler County announced Tuesday filing for re-election in the Kansas House.


“It’s been an honor to serve the people of Butler County for the last several years in various ways,” Carpenter said. “I have no agenda except to do the best job I can and I believe the experience and positive working relationships I have developed will allow me to be a strong voice for the people of Butler County/District 75. I hope to continue to bring the voice of the people from this area to Topeka.”


Carpenter; a Republican, currently serves as the Chair of the Social Services Budget Committee and is a member of the Appropriations and Commerce, Labor and Economic Development committees. Additionally he had been appointed to serve on the Robert T. Bethell Joint Committee on Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) and KANCARE Oversight, as well as the Joint House and Senate Committee on Medicaid expansion and the Joint House and Senate Legislative Budget Committee.


He previously served Butler County as commissioner for eight years. Carpenter has also served on USD 375 School Board, Wildlife and Parks Commission, Rural Life Task Force and numerous volunteer boards such as American Red Cross, Red Devil Chefs and numerous hunting and conservation boards in addition to the Governors One Shot Turkey Hunt.
