Keno Thomas Leigh, passed away peacefully at home, with family at his side on Friday (Feb. 21, 2020) at the age of 72.


Keno's life began on March 24, 1947, in Claremore, Oklahoma. He was the son of Keno G. and Betty Leigh. He proudly served in the Marines from 1965 to 1969, and was a Vietnam veteran. He enjoyed his country living with his horses, pets, and wildlife. He was a jack-of-all-trades, and was comfortable in any attire, ranging from a three piece suit to bib overalls. Over the years he was employed at Prudential Insurance, Coleman Heating and Air, and retired from Raytheon (Hawker-Beech) Aircraft in 2009.


His loving family includes his wife Nancy, daughters Venus (Charles) Glotta of O'Fallon Missouri; Dawn (David) Miller of Wichita; Christina (Don) Barribeau of Madison Alabama; Candace (Derrick) Grant of Wichita; and son Dan (Nikki) Bird of Topeka. Family also includes brother William (Kathy) Steward; Kenneth (Lanece) Steward; Dana Brewbaker; and David Lumen. He leaves behind a legacy of 17 Grandchildren, and eight Great-grand children.


He was preceded in death by his mother and father; sister Martha Steward; and grandson Brandon Thibodeaux.


His family will gather for a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 2 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 29, 2020) at Advantage Funeral 4408 West Central, Wichita, Ks.
