Roy "Gene" Tucker, 87, of El Dorado, passed away Wednesday (Jan. 22, 2020) at home. Services will be held at a later date.
Gene was born in Chatauqua on Jan. 3, 1933, to the late Beulah Ruth (Jack) and Roy Charles Tucker.
He served in the U.S. Army. Gene worked as a fabrication foreman at Beech Aircraft for many years. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, and fishing.
On May 12, 1957 he married Gwendolyn M. (Trebbe) in Augusta, who survives him. He is also survived by: daughter, Donnita Bennington (Glenn) of Augusta, KS; sons, Greg Tucker (Rhonda) of Augusta, and Terry Tucker of Augusta; grandchildren, Allen Bennington (Deb), Troy Bennington (Kristi), Royce Tucker (Courtney), Kara Tucker, Micah Tucker (Amanda), Jason Tucker (Michael Eiman) Ashley Tucker (Donnie Saueresigg); 11 great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Robert Tucker (Lula) of Andover; sisters, Elaine Brunhoever of Edmond, Oklahoma, Vickie Salsberry (Duane) of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Ruth Berntino of La Quinta, California; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: son, Mark Tucker; brothers, Lawrence and Paul Tucker; sister, Esther Tucker; granddaughter, Aredeanna "Dee" Bassett.
