Herbert Dee Lowrance, Jr., 74, of Augusta, passed away Thursday (Jan. 2, 2020) at home.

Herbert was born in El Dorado on June 14, 1945, to the late Opal LaVerne (Rader) and Herbert Dee Lowrance, Sr. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a medic. Herbert retired as a correction officer at the El Dorado honor camp, Kansas Department of Corrections. In 1974 he married Patricia (Manley) who survives him.

He is also survived by: sons, Herb Lowrance, III and wife Liz of Tom's River, New Jersey, John Lowrance of Independence and Mike Lowrance and wife Karissa Norton of Wichita; daughter, Tammy McWalters and husband John of Carteret, New Jersey; brothers, Gary Lowrance and wife Betty of Shawnee, OK, and Darrel Lowrance of El Dorado; grandchildren, Morrison and Kalvin Lowrance; former wife, Janet (Markowitz) Lowrance of Carteret, New Jersey.

Rosary will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 8, 2020) with funeral mass following at 10 a.m. both at St. James Catholic Church, Augusta.

Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery Augusta.
