Harold L. Roberts, 99, Cassoday, passed away Friday (June 7, 2019) in El Dorado.

Harold’s life began on April 6, 1920, in Quinlan, Oklahoma, the son of Roy and Phyllis (Click) Roberts. Harold faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force as a pilot in WWII. He was united in marriage to Genevieve “Jane” Sigg on October 29, 1942, in Wichita. Harold enjoyed collecting antiques and was known for running the Cassoday Antiques store. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his youth and especially enjoyed gardening. He was a master gardener of sorts and worked until he reached the age of 97, cutting grass and running his tractor.

His greatest joy was his family which includes his children Robbie (Kimberley) Roberts of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Kaye Anderson of Atlanta, Georgia, Ramona (Greg Wood) Hinde of Cassoday, Anita Moore of Matfield Green; 22 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by three children, his wife Jane, a sister and his parents.

Friends may gather with the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday (June 14, 2019) at Carlson Colonial Funeral Home. Harold’s funeral service will be held11 a.m. Saturday (June 15, 2019) at the Cassoday United Methodist Church. He will be laid to rest at Cassoday Cemetery with full military honors.
