William “Bill” Baker, 88, of El Dorado passed away June 7, 2019, in Augusta.

William “Bill Baker’s life began on January 19, 1930, in El Dorado; the son of Clyde and Alberta (Peffley) Baker. Bill earned his bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University. He faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force. Bill was united in marriage in June of 1958 to his wife, Marilyn Stenstrom who preceded him in death in 2014.

Bill was known for having a great sense of humor and was always smiling. He enjoyed making others laugh. Bill’s family includes his siblings; Don (Carrol) Baker of Benton, Mary Ellen Baker of Wichita, Linda (Mike) Kibler of Boynton Beach, Florida; cousins Barbara Feller of El Dorado, Jim Peffley of Richardson, Texas, Margie Peffley of Topeka, Kathy Debrecht of Wichita and Charles Smith of Cassoday.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn and his parents. Friends may gather with Bill’s family at 10:30 am on Monday (June 17, 2019) at Carlson Colonial Funeral Home where a scripture service will be led by Fr. John Lanzrath. Bill will be laid to rest at 2 p.m. on Monday (June 17, 2019) in White City.
