The 97th season of the El Dorado Band will kick off next week — with practices starting May 23. The first concert for the band is set for May 30.

The band has performed summer concerts in El Dorado since 1923.

The first concert of the 2019 season, set for 7:30 p.m. May 30, will feature a joint performance with the 35th Infantry Division Army Band

The practice schedule will begin at 7:30 p.m. May 23 in the El Dorado High School band room. Subsequent practices will be 7:30 p.m. each Tuesday in the El Dorado High School band room.

Most of the concerts will be at Forest Park at Ninth and Taylor, unless otherwise specified. Currently, there are 10 concerts scheduled for the 2019 season. All concerts are free In the case of inclement weather, band activities will be moved to the El Dorado High School Band Room.
