Byron Dale Lacy, 69, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday (May 14, 2019) at his home in Potwin.
Byron was born to Jack and Geraldine Lacy on September 12, 1949 in Parsons. He was the second oldest of five children. He married Linda on July 19, 1969 in Altamont, and had three children.
Byron worked many jobs throughout his life, but spent the later part of his life as a paint and body man at Oaklane Automotive, a job that was his passion. A perfectionist at heart, he made sure his work was flawless. Byron had a love for cars, antique or fast hot rods, it didn’t matter, and a love for his growing family.
Byron is preceded in death by his father Jack Lacy, sister Swana Fox, and daughter-in-law Aimee Lacy.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Lacy of Potwin; mom, Geraldine Lacy of Eureka; brother, Byam (Becky) Lacy; sisters, Starlyn Martin and Lawanda Rinne; daughters, Camille (Brian) Lago of Whitewater and Shaleana (Adam) Johnson of Potwin; son, Naron Lacy of Potwin; grandkids, Larry (Amber) Lago, Josh (Mary) Lago, Ashley (Adrian) Johnson, Justin and Kasey Lago, Baylee and Genna Lacy, Mikayla, Hannah, Grace and Dylan Johnson; great-grandkids, Josslyn Lago, Khloe, Rhya and Waylon Lago, Adalynn and Annie Johnson; and two more great-grand girls on the way.
His memorial service will be held Saturday (May 18, 2019) at Potwin Christian Church with a private family burial at a later time.
