John E. Busch, 87, of Augusta, passed away Saturday (May 11, 2019) in Wichita. John was born on July 19, 1931, in El Dorado to the late Pearl (Ashworth) and Cecil Busch.
After graduation from Augusta High School in 1951, he served in the U.S. Army. John worked as a press operator in aircraft and was a stockman raising cattle.
On Dec. 9, 1989, he married Marilyn (Carr) Busch and she survives him.
He is also survived by stepson, Andy Maggard of Oklahoma; stepdaughter, Pauline Maggard of Wichita; sister, Ruth Manning of Augusta; brother, Lawrence "Larry" Busch and wife Ellen of Arkansas; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Spivey of Leon and Leonard Kingsley of El Dorado; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Bernice Spivey, Lois Hagebusch and Emma Noland.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday (May 16, 2019) and service will be at 2 p.m. Friday (May 17, 2019), all at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Augusta.
