Keeping up with the ever changing healthcare landscape
(El Dorado, KS) – It is the goal of Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital to provide quality services and affordable healthcare options for its community. Those efforts will bring a change for some patients.
The hospital is working with a partner to transition the operations of the SBA Dialysis Center, effective May 1, 2019. Approximately 30 patients are currently receiving care at the Dialysis Center.
“The healthcare landscape continues to change,” SBA President and CEO Jim Kirkbride said, “and we have to change with it in order to stay competitive. We were one of the few hospitals in Kansas who still owned our own dialysis center, rather than send their patients to a center operated by a national provider.
“We will do everything we can for our patients to make the transition as easy for them as possible. We look forward to continuing to serve our communities in many areas in the future.”
