Jordan Buxton is new Director of El Dorado Chamber of Commerce

Jordan Buxton, of El Dorado, is joining the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce as its new Executive Director.
Buxton comes to the Chamber after working for the Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital Foundation for the past year, during which time she organized the Hospital’s first car show, implemented an employee volunteer initiative, helped with the Foundation’s annual Gala and assisted with other day-to-day activities of the Hospital and Foundation.
“I’m excited to now be a part of the Chamber and the great services it provides for our business community,” Buxton said.  “While I am thankful for the opportunities that the Foundation provided me, I am looking forward to a future with the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce.”
Before joining the Foundation, Buxton worked in insurance for 10 years, where she was able to meet and create relationships with many of the individuals in the community, as well as business members.
The Chamber now offers a new opportunity for her to continue to grow and give back to the community. Buxton is looking forward to getting to know more about the Chamber and all that it offers, as well as visiting with members to discuss what they would like to see from the Chamber in the future. Buxton’s goals for the Chamber include continuing to grow membership and increase the benefits to members, as well as have a positive impact on the community as a whole.
Buxton, who is married to Luke, has three children, Kinley, Hollis and Steele. She also is involved in the Circle Oil Hill PTO and helps coach youth sports teams at Circle. Originally from Emporia, she has lived in El Dorado for a little over 10 years.
Buxton’s first day as Chamber Director was Nov. 20.
