Annual event will be April 27
Augusta’s elementary schools have participated in the Relay Recess Program for 13 years and the event continues to engage elementary students in the fight against cancer through fundraising activities that support cancer programs and services. In addition, it gives students the chance to leave the classroom and have fun day outside.
This year’s Relay Recess will be on Friday, April 27, at Hillier Stadium, Augusta High School.
Cancer survivors are invited and encouraged to attend. Sign in from 9 to 9:10 a.m. and the Survivor Walk will be around 9:30 a.m.
The survivors who attend each year know that it’s important the students realize that they can make a difference.
The public is always welcome to attend the Relay Recess.
The Butler County Relay For Life will be held on June 2, 2018, at Hillier Stadium, Augusta High School. The event will begin at 6 p.m. and end at midnight. The evening will feature a silent auction, live auctions and other activities. The theme this year is “Passport toHope.”
