Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital is continuing its commitment of Bringing Healthcare to You with its first SBA Community Care Clinic.

“Through an already strong partnership with the YMCA, this is another step in making SBA healthcare more accessible to those who need it in the community,” said Chase Locke, SBAMH Foundation Executive Director.

The Community Care Clinic, which will be located in the lobby area, will provide a variety of options to learn more about health care, as well as receive care. A person does not have to be a member of the YMCA to visit the Clinic.

The anchor for the area will be the SBA Kiosk, which will provide access to eSusanB. This area will contain the computer needed to talk to an SBA medical provider, as well as an otoscope and dermoscope to look in the ear and nose and at the skin during an appointment.

The area will also hold information on the services offered at SBA and be a location for Health Points presentations and blood pressure clinics.

“To me, it’s about forming a partnership and providing access to healthcare in the community,” said Mark Rooker, SBA Chief Operations and Information Officer.

“We’ve had a great partnership with the Hospital and I think it’s a good location,” said Jessica Rahl, El Dorado YMCA Branch Manager. “We have a lot of people who come and utilize the Y and this is an opportunity to provide another service to them and continue to work on wellness in El Dorado. It’s a great thing to be parting again with the Hospital to just better serve the community.”

“This is part of SBA’s commitment to access and meeting needs where they are at,” Locke said.
