New exciting app from SBA

With cold and flu season upon us, it can be difficult to balance work, sick children and your own illness. Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital is working to help ease the stress of finding time to get to the doctor with the new eSusanB app.
Through our new eVisit-based service, people can see a provider from their smartphone, tablet or computer seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. In addition, SBA has opened its first Community Care Clinic at the El Dorado YMCA. Here, people with limited access can use the eSusanB kiosk and its additional tools, including a dermoscope and otoscope to look at skin conditions and ears and noses.
“Telemedicine is a technology that is the future of providing low cost/high access healthcare to patients in our market,” said said SBA President and CEO Jim Kirkbride.
When using the app, a person will visit with a local SBA Medical Group provider, getting the healthcare they need with the convenience they want.
“We are pleased to be able to offer this innovative service,” said Mark Rooker, SBA Chief Operations and Information Officer. “This is one example of SBA’s new technology benefitting those we serve.”
The app is free to download and the cost of an eVisit is $49. If a prescription is given, it can be sent to the pharmacy of your choice.
There is a one-time enrollment in the service that takes less than five minutes and the wait time to see a provider is less than 15 minutes. Patients must be in the state of Kansas at the time of the visit.
For more information, visit or you can go to your device’s mobile app store and search for eSusanB.
