The fourth annual Jeremy Brown Fun Shoot on Oct. 7 at Lynbrooke Sporting Clays in Augusta was another success.

One hundred and fifty-eight shooters participated, which surpassed past numbers. Several new sponsors as well as loyal, past sponsors supported the shoot. With this success, the event raised $6,000 to donate to the Butler Community College Welding Department.

Jeremy's friend Seth Kelley started the event in memory of Jeremy, who died in an ATV accident five years ago. Jeremy enjoyed being in the welding program at BCC.

"This year, we had 35 teams, I think," Janet Brown, Jeremy's mother, said.

The winning team at this year's shoot had a combined score of 200 out of 250. They were led by Everett Kimball, Dave Kimball, Kiev Yankee, Del Rolph and Clint Winger. The fifth shoot is scheduled for Oct. 6, 2018.
