Funds to be used for "Freeze It - Crock It- Simplify Your Life"

Bradford Memorial Library is pleased to announce that it has received a $400 grant from the Kansas Health Foundation-Butler County fund through the Central Community Foundation – Butler and a $195 grant from the Kansas Health Foundation – El Dorado fund through the El Dorado Community Foundation affiliate of Central Kansas Community Foundation. The library will use the funds for the “Freeze It – Crock It – Simplify Your Life” project.
“Freeze It – Crock It” is a joint project with the local K-State Extension Office intended to provide hands-on learning and resources for families in the area of cooking with the slow cooker. The programs will teach about the benefits of cooking homemade meals and eating together as a family. The attendants will also be provided with some tools and food to help them get started, as well as hands-on instruction on how to prepare some meals. We will hold sessions during the fall and winter.
