Augusta-Donald Duane Haynes Sr., 86, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023. Donald was born on Monday, August 31, 1936 in Augusta, Kansas to George Washington and Lola (Fawcett) Haynes. Donald was united in marriage to Viola Muncy. After Violas passing in 1998, Katherine Atkins and Donald had been his best friend, pal, buddy, and companion, for 23 years until Donald’s passing. Donald started and owned Don’s Plumbing Repairs for 40 years. Donald enjoyed shooting and was active in the Single Action Shooting Club and was known as “Luke McGlue” to other shooters. Donald is survived by his companion, Katherine Atkins; sons, Donald Duane Haynes Jr. of Beloit, Kansas and Terry Dean Haynes of Augusta, Kansas; daughter, Trudy Diane Haynes of Douglass, Kansas; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Donald is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Viola Haynes; son, Teddy James Haynes; and daughter, Dana Darlene Haynes. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, February 26th at Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta. Graveside Service will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, February 27th at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta, using the 12th street entrance. Doug Allen Reynolds, 63, of Andover, KS, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023. Memorial service 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2023 at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. Doug was born in Wichita, KS on January 16, 1960, to Marilyn Jane (Arnold) Reynolds and the late Franklin Eugene Reynolds. He worked in general maintenance for most of his life and he enjoyed woodworking and carpentry as well. He is survived by: his mother, Marilyn Reynolds; aunts, Marsha Johnston and husband Cecil of Bel Aire, KS, Marlene Whittaker and husband Bob of Colorado Springs, CO; niece, Sidney Reynolds of Benton, KS. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sharyn Reynolds.
