Bluestem baseball gets sweep

LEON – After surrendering a 10-4 lead Monday night to Douglass in a 15-10 loss to the Bulldogs, Bluestem sought redemption Thursday night against an undermanned Flinthills squad. The Lions came out of the gate strong, run-ruling the Mustangs in both games, getting to the 15-0 clincher in both games in less than five innings.

Lady Lions pitch gems in sweep

LEON, Kansas — Pilar Cox threw a 2-hitter as the Bluestem Lady Lions improved to 4-0 on the season with an impressive sweep of the county rivals, Flinthills on Thursday night. “We played much better all around,” Bluestem head coach Michelle Womacks said.

AHS accepting nominees for HOF
