LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas Women’s Basketball completed its dominant run through the WNIT on Saturday in the championship game with a 66-59 win over Columbia to claim the program’s first WNIT Championship.
The Butler Softball team grabbed a pair of crushing wins on Saturday on the road against the Pratt Beavers, 24-4 in game one, and 24-0 in game two. The wins for the Grizzlies improve their record to 25-7 overall and 16-2 in conference play.
Butler Baseball traveled to Hutchinson on Saturday to take on the conference rival Blue Dragons and fell 9-5 by walk-off grand slam in game one and fell 10-6 in game two. Game One The Grizzlies dropped game one of the day, the third game of the series with Hutch in heartbreaking fashion as they held a two run lead going into the final inning but could not fend off the Blue Dragon walk-off victory.

The next few seasons they would start the season 0-11, 0-10 and 0-9 but finishing strong down the stretch.
