Rose Hill blanks Augusta, 3-0

AUGUSTA – On a night intended to celebrate Augusta’s nine seniors, a young Rose Hill squad with only one senior methodically wore down the Orioles for a 3-0 victory Tuesday night.“We have a lot of young players, and they play really, really good soccer,” first-year Rockets coach Shelby Kaba said.

Banuelos’ with two no-hitters this season, bolsters surging Andover

ANDOVER – Having a pair of aces is nice in poker, but in high school baseball it can propel a good team into contending status.Andover sputtered at the beginning of this season, limping to a lackluster 3-7 start.But that all changed April 4.On that day, senior Joaquin Banuelos pitched a 3-0 no-hitter at Circle, igniting a Trojans run in which they have now won 12 of their last 14 games, most recently a 10-6 nonconference triumph Friday at home over Pittsburg.“It’s crazy how good our staff has been this year,” Banuelos said.
