El Dorado topped by Mulvane on Senior night

EL DORADO, Kansas – El Dorado coaches and players were very hopeful about being able to beat Mulvane on Thursday night in the regular-season boys soccer finale. There was reason for this, because Mulvane had narrowly won the first meeting in overtime at home, 2-1.Such a strong El Dorado showing added fuel to the optimism. But it was not to be.Even though El Dorado had more shots on goal and kept the pressure on Mulvane throughout the match, Mulvane – which had just eight shots on goal – managed to get two of those past El Dorado goalkeeper Wyatt Porter and kept El Dorado (0-16) from finding the victory column this season, 2-0, at BG Products Veterans Sports Complex.Only two days after El Dorado junior Taidhgin Mora-Bruce scored three goals in a 7-3 loss at Circle, the goals failed to materialize.“Sometimes, you can’t just get the ball to fall where you want it,” El Dorado second-year coach Suzie Locke said.
