Baker scores 17 as Lady Cats pick up win
EL DORADO, Kansas—Gibby Baker made a bucket and then seconds later, she ripped the ball out of a dribbler’s hands, running coast-to-coast for the lay up. It was a part of a 10-1 run that gave El Dorado the lead for good as the Lady Cats beat Wichita Collegiate, 40-35, for their first victory of the season and the first under first year head coach Brett Gunderson’s tenure.
Butler basketball teams come back and win
The Butler Grizzlies basketball teams used a pair of second half comebacks to stun Cowley College on Saturday in Arkansas City. The women came back from as many as 14 down in the first quarter to pull off their victory. The men trailed 10 at halftime but were able to propel themselves to the victory.
