Doyle Glenn Fox was born May 18, 1934 in Logan, Kansas to Glenn and Bernice Fox and passed away in his home on November 2nd, 2022 at the age of 88. In 1953 he married Bonnie Darlene Gaines, and they spent over 64 years together before she preceded him in death in 2017.

Rodney D. Fogo

Rodney D. Fogo, 89, former CEO of the Kansas Turnpike Authority (KTA), passed away peacefully November 16, 2022 in Saint Augustine, FL. A resident of El Dorado, KS for over 17 years, he is survived by his wife of over 65 years, Rada J. (McCormick) Fogo; daughter Karen (Fogo) See; son Michael Fogo; granddaughter Rachel See and grandson Kevin See. At his request there will be no funeral service. He and his wife will be jointly inured in the National Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL at the time of her passing. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name with the Tunnel2Tower (www.t2t.org) for wounded warriors.

Brenton Dean Tillotson

Brenton Dean Tillotson of rural Towanda, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, November 14, 2022 at his home. Brenton was born to Jimmy and Carrie (McClure) Tillotson on January 29, 1971. From a very young age, he enjoyed farming and being active on the family farm. Brenton graduated from Circle High School, Class of 1990. He worked for 26 years at Valassis and began working at Valmont in May 2016. Brenton is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Christa “Chris” (Wealand) Hinnen and the day before his passing, his father-in-law, John Ray Hinnen; grandparents, Leo Dean Tillotson and Betty Jane (Ditch) Tillotson, Max and Patricia (Morris) McClure. Brenton is survived by his wife, Renee and loving dog, Bodhi; his parents, Jim and Carrie Tillotson all of rural Towanda; his brother and sister-in-law, Bartly and Ashton Tillotson of El Dorado; and his sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Ryan Evans of rural Newton. He also leaves behind loving nephews and nieces, Wyatt (Erica) Tillotson, Morgan (Josie) Tillotson, Max Tillotson, Gavin Evans, Maggie Evans and Libby Evans; cousin-in-law “brother-in-law”, Tim (Lauren) Wealand and numerous extended family and friends. The family will gather with friends on Sunday, November 20 at the Whitewater Community Church from 2-4 PM. A celebration of life will take place at the Whitewater Community Church on Monday, November 21 at 3:00 PM for both Brenton and his father-in-law, John Hinnen. A dinner will be provided immediately following. A private family burial will take place at McGill Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to the National Kidney Foundation and the Whitewater Community Church. Rex L. Shoemaker

Rex L. Shoemaker, 70, formerly of Batesville, AR passed away on September 13, 2022. Rex spent his career with Entergy in Newark, where he was a master of all things maintenance. He was especially gifted at welding and could fix anything. While with Entergy, Rex also spent time on the company’s emergency response team servicing hurricane power outages. A Memorial Service for Rex took place on Saturday, September 17, at Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Wichita, KS. Rex is preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Burl and Tevis Shoemaker. He is survived by the love of his life, Jeanne Shoemaker, whom he met in 7th grade math class at El Dorado Junior High School in El Dorado, Ks. Jeanne and Rex reconnected at their 45th class reunion and were later married on September 16, 2016, in Wichita, KS. The couple resided in Valley Center, KS. Rex is also survived by daughter, Shana (Kevin) Ring and son, Jesse; mother-in-law, Eva Jo Luck; brothers-in-law, Ric (Debbie) Luck, and Jim (Rhonda) Luck; grandchildren, Alivia McAnally, Sean McAnally, Taryn Shoemaker, Maysun Ring, Adalyn Ring, and Ryker Ring.
