Barbara Jeanne White

Barbara Jeanne White, 83, of Augusta, KS, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023 in Andover, KS. Service 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 9, 2023, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery Augusta, KS. Barbara was born in Rose Hill, KS on March 11, 1939, to the late Nellie (McCullough) and Gerald Dennett. She was a para professional at Garfield Elementary School for many years. Barbara enjoyed cross stitching and ceramics. On August 30, 1959 she married John White at First Baptist Church in Augusta, KS who survives her. She is also survived by: son, Thomas White and wife Kendra of Augusta, KS; daughter, Gay Gillies and husband Steve of Augusta, KS; grandchildren, Jayden Gillies (Kelli), Tessa Peterson (Scott), Nellie Dechand (John), Reagan White, and Ryker White; great grandchildren, Brock and Connor Gillies, Fiona and Henry Peterson. She was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Jackle. Memorial donations to First Baptist Church Preschool 1501 State Street Augusta, KS 67010.

Brent Ballew Blaine, of Keller, Texas, passed away on Sunday December 25, 2022 in Fort Worth, Texas. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, friend and colleague to all that knew and loved him. Bessie “Deloris Lynn” Graves

Bessie “Deloris Lynn” Graves passed away on December 11, 2022. She was born January 19, 1935 in Seminole, OK, where she lived her entire childhood. On April 26, 1952, she married Billy Ray Graves. In 1963, she moved to El Dorado, KS where she was a mother of 4 and a babysitter to many kids throughout the years. In 1983 Deloris started working as a food service manager at the El Dorado Honor Camp and the El Dorado Correctional Facility where she worked for 10 years, retiring in 1993. In her retirement, Deloris loved cooking and making sure everyone who came to visit was fed. In recent years, she enjoyed watching old Western shows and loved her large collection of angels. She liked to reminisce over the good times, pouring over treasured photo albums of family and friends. Deloris is survived by her children Vicki Graves, Angie (Scott) Sullivan, Marquita (Troy) Pennington and Jared (Audra) Graves; many grandchildren and great grandchildren and very special granddaughter and caregiver, Rachel Tipton. Deloris is preceded in death by her husband, Billy; parents Rudolph Lee Hyatt and Thelma Gail Hyatt; siblings Louise Chandler, Dolphie Rounsivill, Virginia Bobbitt, and Denis Hyatt.
