Nancy Jane (Wilson) Bishop

Nancy Jane (Wilson) Bishop, 69, of El Dorado, Ks, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023 in El Dorado, Ks. Nancy was born on August 21, 1953 in El Dorado, Ks to Mary Maxine (Throckmorton) and Otto (Doc) Wilson. Nancy loved her career as a Registered Nurse working at Wheat State Manor nursing home and also as a CNA instructor with Butler County Community College. She loved to cook for her friends and family and she loved going to the zoo with her kids and grandkids and traveling out of state with family. She loved going to worlds of fun and oceans of fun with the family. She was a big fan of football, basketball and baseball, favorite teams were KC Chief’s, New York Yankees , KC Royals. When not taking her son to see the Royals and Chiefs they often spent time watching the games together and she loved talking sports to her grandsons. Her greatest joy and love was for her children , grandchildren and family. Nancy is survived by her children, Brian Wilson and wife Jennifer of El Dorado, Ks, Elizabeth Bishop Ensz and husband Dathan of Andover, Ks, Chelsea Bishop Isaacs and husband Joel of Broken Arrow, Ok, Melanie Bishop Gregg and husband Jacob of Augusta, Ks. Grandchildren Memorie Wilson, Ellise Wilson, Tristen Wilson, Xander Wilson, Evangeline Wilson, Drake Ensz, Emma Ensz, Cora Ensz, David Thompson, Jordyn Vornes, Jaxon Gregg, Bennett Gregg and 2 great grandchildren, Aiden Wilson and Allyson Crane, her brothers Larry (Rose) Wilson of Weslaco, Tx, Steve Wilson of Park City, Ks, Greg (Cynthia) Wilson of El Dorado, Ks and sister Diane Thompson of El Dorado, Ks. and many nieces, nephews and family. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, sister Kathleen, brother Gary Wilson. Memorial service was held on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 11am at HOPE Community Church, Andover, Ks.

Charles “Charlie” Edward Goucher

Charles “Charlie” Edward Goucher, 67, of Augusta died Tuesday, January 10, 2023. The family will hold a memorial service 1:00 pm Saturday, January 21, 2023 at First Christian Church in Augusta, KS. He was born June 1, 1955 in Wellington, KS to the late Donald Goucher and Patricia Ninke. Charlie was a gifted musician and especially loved jamming out with his brother, Randy, in their band “Thee End.” His continuing love for music turned from rock to praise and worship, inspiring many in his church. His greatest joy in life was giving his unconditional love and support to his children and grandchildren. Working at New Generation Christian Learning Center, he was known to all as “Uncle Charlie,” always providing the day’s laughter and adventure. He is survived by son, Bradley (Sara) Newcomer of West Virginia; daughter, Holly Goucher of Wichita; grandchildren Chloe, Noah and Jocelyn Reef and Kaylee Newcomer; sisters Marilyn (Mike) Harrison, Tricia (Bob) Bassingthwaighte, Connie (Ronnie) Mead, Donella (Dena) O’Gorman, and Cindy (Rick) Hofmeier; and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Randy Goucher. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the family can be made in care of Headley Funeral Chapel, 813 State St, Augusta, KS 67010.

Arlin Lavalle Miller

Arlin Lavalle Miller, 83, of Augusta, KS, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023 at the Kansas Veteran’s Home in Winfield, KS. A memorial graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta, KS. Arlin was born in St. Joseph, MO on February 16, 1939, to the late Elda (Fletchall) and Milo K. Miller. He served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Watson and Challon. Arlin enjoyed fishing and was a stained glass artist. On December 4, 1962 he married Ellyn Jo (Reynolds) Miller and she survives him. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sons, Wade Allan and Cris Lavalle Miller; brother, Lee Miller; sister, Rochelle Smith. Memorial donations to Alzheimer’s Association 1820 E. Patricia “Pat” Kay Cummings

Patricia “Pat” Kay Cummings, 82, of Augusta, KS, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023 at home. Visitation 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2023 and service 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2023 both at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at Andover Cemetery, Andover, KS. Pat was born in Eureka, KS on April 7, 1940, to the late Annabelle (Essick) and James O. Howard. She had been a buyer at Boeing and Radio Supply Company. She graduated from Butler Community College with her Associates Degree at age 63. She is survived by: daughters, Leann Boucher (Ron Wenrich) of Wichita, KS, Kelly Shelton (Charles) of Shell Knob, MO, Rebecca Cryderman (Paul) of Augusta, KS, and Jamie Cummings (Ones Mutinda) of Andover, KS; brother, James Howard and wife Karen of Garden City, KS; sister, Donna Skinner, of Derby, KS; grandchildren, Bevan Boucher, Cassie Boucher, Jasmyn Carr (Tammy), Michael Kelly, Ryan Cryderman, Justin Cryderman (Stephanie), Kioko Mutinda, Annabelle Mutinda, Chuck Shelton, Charli Shelton, Joshua Shelton; 16 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her partner Al Bullock’s children, Brenda Scott, of El Dorado, KS, and Jeff Bullock of Wichita, KS; and grandchildren, Kayci Scott, Joshua Scott, and Brandi Hosea. She was preceded in death by her partner, Al Bullock; granddaughters, Erica Boucher and Elizabeth Shelton.
