Richard Eugene Kerwood

Richard Eugene Kerwood, a caring father, grandfather, husband, and friend, left this world suddenly on September 23, 2022, at the age of 65, following a rare form of stroke. Born on July 26, 1957, Richard married the love of his life, Lori (Frye), on August 23, 1980, and celebrated 42 years of matrimony. The couple had three children - David (Alicia), Joshua, and Brianna (Stuart) Sprague - and five beautiful granddaughters. Richard was always working to learn new skills and grow, achieving the advanced rank of Master in Tae Kwon Do and constantly adapting to new technology in his X-Ray Technologist role at Susan B Allen Hospital, but he will be remembered most for his giving spirit. Family, friends, and co-workers would regularly find Richard at their door with toolbox in hand, ready to help install washing machines, replace shingles after a storm, or simply fix a broken drawer. In death he continued his giving nature, donating his kidneys and saving the lives of two men he would never meet. Services will be held in the Community Building at 315 Main St., Towanda, Kan., Saturday, October 8 at 2 p.m. The family requests printed photos to add to a physical timeline or written anecdotes about Richard. Donations for expenses can be made at https://gofund. me/f4ef2bd6.
