TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — The Kansas House has approved a measure aimed at ensuring that counties don’t stop electing their sheriffs.
Kansas Board of Education unanimously rejects resignation of state education commissioner
TOPEKA — The Kansas State Board of Education rejected the resignation Friday of the state education commissioner following evidence he said during a video conference that during his youth he tried to persuade children to fear for their safety among American Indians.

Kansas Turnpike to use TransCore for cashless tolling in 2024
WICHITA, Kan.— The Kansas Turnpike Authority has selected TransCore, Nashville, TN, as the vendor for the new roadside toll collection program for its con version to cashless tolling in 2024. “This is a very significant milestone,” said KTA’s Director of Information Technology and Cashless Tolling Project Manager, Bruce Meisch.
