TOPEKA — When the first Kansas patient to be treated for COVID-19 arrived two years ago at The University of Kansas Health System, doctors weren’t sure how to handle the new and scary sickness. Steve Stites, chief medical officer for KU Health, was working that Saturday morning, trying to figure out how to prepare for the inevitable arrival of a novel coronavirus that was making news in New York City and Seattle.

EL DORADO – The new Diesel Technology program began last August at Butler Community College in El Dorado within a newly renovated area. Butler now offers a two-year degree and a one-year certificate in the field.
Kansas has the cheapest gas prices in the country
The price of regular gasoline broke the all-time high in the United States, but the good news for Kansans is that they have the cheapest prices in the country. The previous all-time high for average gasoline prices was set on July 17, 2008, at $4.10 per gallon, but on Thursday that record was broke with prices reaching $4.318 per gallon.

Kansas close to using up to $1B to shore up pension system
