Kelly announces transition to COVID-19 Endemic Response

In the state of Kansas, COVID-19 response is changing - from pandemic to endemic. March 31 Governor Laura Kelly and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment announced pivoting from “emergency pandemic response” to “endemic normalcy.” “Kansas is continuing the transition to a new phase of understanding and living with COVID-19,” Governor Laura Kelly said.

Save Jane event hosted

Sunlight Child Advocacy Center, and the Sunlight Children’s Home along with the board of trustees, volunteers and representatives from support organizations like Tri-County C.A.S.A. and from Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.C.A.) were on hand for the first annual Save Jane event held at the historic Butler County Courthouse on Friday, April 1st.

Augusta airport to host summer camp

A unique summer camp for eighth-through 12th-graders is coming to Augusta this year, and it’s free. In July Augusta Municipal Airport will host a “Youth Aviation Summer Camp.” Campers will be able to learn about airport operations, aviation careers, pilot and mechanic license requirements, aircraft and basic aerodynamics concepts.
