On Saturday, May 28th, Ladies from the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 81 in El Dorado passed out Poppies on Friday and Saturday in recognition of Poppy Day. Poppy Day is celebrated in countries around the world.
The United Way has taken the lead on distributing federal grant funds that have been available, but unused, for Butler County. The funding has been unused because there has not been an active local board to distribute it.

This El Dorado Municipal Band celebrate their 100th anniversary with the premier of “El Dorado Fanfare” and a past director’s concert June 2. El Dorado Fanfare was a commissioned piece, written by Tusla composer Ed Huckeby specifically for the El Dorado Municipal Band and the community of El Dorado.
