This week is not a very hectic or crazy week here at the news head quarters. Host Jaytin Cathey and co-host Alex Williams will inform the good people of Douglass how to have a little fun and the next club meetings at DHS. Sports Analyst Michael Kielhorn will inform you when and where senior night sports will be held as they both start to come to an end. Lastly, weather man Camden Mertz will say how nice the weather is going to be with also that little chance of rain and how to plan accordingly.

El Dorado Seeks Input on 1 Cent Sales Tax

El Dorado- Since 1989, the City of El Dorado has had a one-cent sales tax in place and it is time again this year for voters to consider approving the tax for another five years. Before the Sales Tax Task Force recommends language for the ballot question in November, the City of El Dorado is seeking input from residents on what they would like to see happen with the city’s sales tax.

Main Street Thankful

The El Dorado Main Street organization hosted an appreciation gathering at Reliant Bookstore for the sponsors and participants of the 2022 Thankful Thursday season. Sponsors included Charley’s Appliance, Edward Jones Jeff Christensen, F5 Imprint and Pioneer Balloon “We had a great time celebrating the successes of this past year and discussing plans for the 2023 Thankful Thursday season,” said El Dorado Main Street Communications Project Manager, Sierra Marie Bonn.
