Gov. Kelly Proclaims American Legion Day

Topeka – The Governor of Kansas has declared March 15, 2023 as “Kansas American Legion Day.” As she presented the proclamation, Governor Laura Kelly praised the 104-year-old veterans service organization, the largest in the nation, for its continued work to aid wounded warriors and military families, for Legionnaires’ legacy of community volunteerism and for the organization’s significant role in establishing important national legislation.

Legislative Coffee

The public is invited to join Butler County Farm Bureau Association (BCFBA) for their “Legislative Coffee” series which will be held across Butler County through April 1st. “These events are one of the many services that Butler County Farm Bureau Association membership dues help provide to Butler County families,” said Tiya Tonn, County Coordinator.

Activate Andover Requests Public Comment

Andover – The City of Andover launched a 10-year Comprehensive Plan process to provide the community with a compelling vision and plan that will be used to guide decision- making and development. The Plan provides an inclusive framework for the orderly and consistent planning of City neighborhoods, commercial corridors, the transportation network, and public open spaces. The Plan focuses on future City growth with a strong emphasis on land use, development and redevelopment patterns, infrastructure, transportation and mobility, housing diversity, and urban design.

Feb. Butler Co. 4-H Meeting

The Butler County 4-H Council met on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 7 p.m. The meeting was opened with the flag salute and 4-H pledge. Roll call was answered with “Something you love about your favorite project.” There were 10 clubs and 3 adult advisors and agents present.
