BuCo Lawn & Garden Show

Butler County residents anticipate the first Butler County Lawn and Garden Show which is set for Saturday, April 22 from 9 AM to 5 PM and Sunday, April 23 from noon to 5 PM. The event takes place at the Butler County Community/4-H Building, 206 N. Griffith, El Dorado, Kansas. Attendees will gain valuable knowledge about vegetable gardening, flowers, and trees. It features seminars by experts, horticultural businesses, free seeds, and much more. Admission is free.

Frostys for El Dorado

Although El Dorado is the second largest town in Butler County by population, (12,870 to be exact according to the 2020 US Census), it will be the last one with a larger population to gain a Wendy’s fast food restaurant.

Madison Parker Recognized by KSU

On March 30th, Kansas State University’s College of Health and Human Sciences selected 18 accomplished alumni to receive their Rising Professional Award. Madison Parker, Administrator at Wheat State Manor in Whitewater, was recognized for her leadership in the long-term care industry since her graduation from KSU in 2021.
