A group of volunteers in Towanda are telling the story of the town by installing a historical timeline inside the town’s Historical Society. While the historical society usually hosts goat yoga, spring tea and other fun events, they’ve been working hard on a big addition to the building.
Partners in Education Foundation, Inc. (PIE), is proud to announce the 2023 scholarship awards for El Dorado High School graduates. We are awarding about $24,000 in scholarships, plus 64 hours of tuition/fees, etc. for Butler Community College, bringing this year’s future support to almost $30,000.

Monday Study Club of El Dorado met Monday, May 8, 2023 at the home of Janice Shaffer in Wichita, Kansas. Janice was assisted by co-hosts Sharon Mangels, Kay Zang, and Kathy Morrow in serving a delicious spring brunch for the last meeting of the season before summer break. Officers installed for the 2023-2024 season are Sue Beattie, President; Mary Frances Wilkinson, Vice-President; and Sharon Mangels, treasurer.
EL DORADO - Seat belts have been proven to be one of the best ways to save your life in a crash, no matter what make of vehicle you drive. It’s a fact. Yet, many still don't buckle up. Worse still, not wearing a seat belt is a habit that will pass on to your children and teens who, in turn, will think it is safe to not buckle up.
