On Monday evening during a regular City Commission meeting, the El Dorado City Commission approved a bid to resurface a portion of Central Avenue, a project that is scheduled to begin in September.

El Dorado – Butler Community College now offers Welding Technology classes at Rose Hill High School taught by Butler Welding alumni and industry-professional Jake Duerksen. Classes begin in August at the new state-of-the-art welding lab. Seats are limited and open to all students, including the Early College Academy (ECA).
