An English carpenter settles in Kansas

William A. Clark(e)* was born in 1842 in England to William and Mary Clark. He received his education in England and as a youth learned the carpenter trade. In 1864 he emigrated to Canada and 2 years later moved to Cleveland, Ohio for one year. He then went to Chicago where he worked as a carpenter until 1871 at which time he came to Kansas, settling in Sumner County.
